A fantastic World Book Day in Maple class - great costumes and lovely to see some of the parents and carers in to read with their children.
Elm Class enjoyed World Book Day last week! Fantastic costumes, and thank you to the parents and carers who were able to join us at the end of the day.
This week, Year 3 had an exciting visit to a synagogue as part of their learning about Judaism. The children had the opportunity to take part in a range of activities, including trying on traditional Jewish clothing and reading from the Torah scroll using a yad. It was a wonderful hands-on experience that helped deepen their understanding of Jewish traditions and culture.
This week, Year 3 got to meet a mischief of rats and their owner. Through their reading of 'The Pied Piper of Hamelin', their rat research and this real-life encounter, the children are becoming 'v-rat-ible' rat experts! They are now excited to share their knowledge and write their own rat report later in the week.
Last Friday, Maple and Elm classes followed instructions carefully to create some wonderful woolly mammoths out of milk cartons! They then had a chance to evaluate the instructions and improve them.
