Just Talk Week at William Ransom
This week, William Ransom pupils and staff engaged in a range of activities focused on promoting positive mental health and encouraging discussion about feelings and emotions.
Miss Swinburne led some sessions around economic education, explaining how understanding and looking after finances can support good emotional wellbeing. Here’s Year 5 in action:

Reception and Year 1 made links between physical and mental health by engaging in animal-themed pilates with some fantastic parent volunteers. Thank you to our instructors!
The mental health team visited each class and discussed the 5 ways to wellbeing.
The fantastic children of Diversity Club ran a KS2 assembly promoting acceptance of differences, and supporting each other. Thank you to the children and Mrs Gibson.
On Wednesday afternoon, Year 5 & 6 had an uplifting Zumba lesson with Mrs Dudley. Nina in Y5 said, “I wish I could do it again!” Thank you Mrs Dudley.

Throughout the week, Children of all year groups learnt about their brains. Here are Year 5&6 learning about different parts of the brain, what they do and how they deal with stress:
Friday was ‘Express Yourself’ day and children wore their own clothes! Here are some Year 3 and 4 on the playground:
