This week the children have enjoyed carpet sessions learning about Paul Cezanne and what still life art is. We spent time looking at some of his paintings and talked about how they made us feel and whether we liked them or not and why.

We discussed how it was really important to Cezanne how he placed the items in his paintings - the composition.

As a follow-on activity, we composed our own still life art but rather than painting it, we photographed it. The results were all different and individual but demonstrated still life art excellently.
