There was so much to see and do. First, we boarded an old passenger plane and had our passports stamped. Then we tried on a range of hats worn by pilots through the ages. Next we retold the story of the first air race from England to Australia. The children impressed the group leaders with their knowledge of Amy Johnson. After that, we guessed when planes were built using a timeline and finally the children matched pictures of planes with settings to show how they were camouflaged. Then it was time for lunch! We also had a chance to go on a vintage bus ride and saw some actual planes taking off and landing. What an amazing fun filled day!!
