Science Workshops

Year 6 have enjoyed two amazing Science Workshops with Mr Derrett from Hitchin Girls School. Our first session was Communication in World War 2 where we learnt how to communicate using Morse code. In our second session, we discovered that owls regurgitate the undigested parts of their food in the form of 'owl pellets'. By dissecting the pellets, we could see what the owls had eaten. We found lots of tiny bones - evidence that the owls had eaten mice and voles.
Thank you to Mr Derrett for such fascinating workshops. We have one more workshop to come in the summer term which we know will be just as interesting.
