This morning, Reception joined the rest of the school on the playground to watch the annual Inter-house Pancake Race. Everyone cheered on the teams and it was fantastic to be out in the sunshine and be part of this whole school tradition.

Yesterday the children learnt all about Pancake Day, or Shrove Tuesday, in preparation for today's race.

Some children mentioned they had never tried a pancake before so this afternoon we whipped up some batter and had Mrs Moriaty flipping some pancakes. All the children got to taste some and there was a definite consensus that pancakes are delicious!
